Hello Dear Hearts and Beautiful Ones,
A world without beauty would be impossible, unbearable to even contemplate.
If you ponder on this, it seems apparent that the little feathers of beauty are the angel glue that binds the world soul together, keeping it whole especially in the most difficult of times. This fluff of beauty can keep alive faith and hope and the will to live even when the pain of doing so is large enough to shatter the strongest of hero hearts.
The soft and subtle kiss of beauty is so braided into our lives and our world that we often fail to notice its presence, until it comes up missing. It's hard to imagine a life without the beauty of kindness, without the gentle touch of tenderness, without the sun filled day of delight. Such a life would be a shallow life, but luckily there is still enough beauty left hiding in the world to keep such wastelands at bay. If we but take the time to notice that it is so. For even beauty, free soul that she is, needs to be saluted from time to time to keep her coming back to play in the world.
In Greek, to kalon is the term for "the beautiful." Related to the word kalein, it indicates the concept of "call." Beauty can be seen as a siren call, a call from the depths to our hearts that can unite us again and again with the real grandeur of what it means to live a life of Grace.
